Faith & Spiritual
EvolutionHave you ever wondered why you make the choices you do?
I don’t mean surface level or the excuses the mind gives to perpetuate and justify behaviours.
I believe that when we are birthed into this existence, we choose our parents. My understanding is that we do this to give us the foundation of what we have chosen to experience. Science shows that we ‘pick up’ aspects of our parents – beliefs, perceptions, wounds, personality, and physical traits. Add in location, timing, and other ingredients and you have your base, like a batter that can be added to (adding in each choice).
“All that we are is the result of what we have thought. We are made of thoughts; we are molded by our thoughts.” ~ Buddha
As we think, so we become – individuals, societies, institutions, etc.
Often, we make our choices habitually, subconsciously. And each choice creates a new thought or reaffirms an old belief.
The purpose of karma, the law of cause and effect, is to teach consequences of where we have placed our ‘faith’, s that by trial and error, life after life, each soul acquires the kind of faith that leads to the fulfillment of life’s supreme goal: to turn inward and remember our Divinity, our Unity.
It’s all about choices. We start where we are, adjusting as we choose; free will. We shape ourselves and our world by what we think and act on, whether good or ill.
Who do you choose to be?
Every moment we are given the gift of this question and the Will to choose.
Every moment we can consciously create a new life, a new world.
