Episode 5: The Emotional Detox You Didn’t Know You Needed
Let’s just say it:
You don’t need another journaling prompt.
You don’t need another “good vibes only” playlist.
And you definitely don’t need another affirmation you don’t believe.
You need a bloody emotional exorcism.
Because what’s keeping most of us stuck isn’t that we’re not spiritual enough or healed enough. It’s that we’ve been taught to carry years of unfelt emotions—rage, grief, shame, jealousy—and pretend we’re fine.
🚫 Emotionally Constipated but Functional?
You can be healing.
You can be successful.
You can be deeply spiritual… and still be emotionally constipated.
That’s what this episode is here to address—the emotional clutter we normalize but can no longer afford to carry. Think:
Chronic over-explaining
Ghosting people you love
Quiet resentment masked with politeness
Burnout, brain fog, and emotional numbness
“You’re not stuck because you’re broken. You’re stuck because your system is overloaded with feelings you’ve never been allowed to feel.”
💥 Emotional Energy: If It’s Not Expressed, It’s Compressed
Unfelt emotions don’t disappear—they calcify.
They live in your body as migraines, fatigue, autoimmune symptoms, pelvic pain, panic. You can’t mindset your way out of them. You have to feel to release.
So today, I invite you into something sacred.
Not fixing. Not analyzing.
Just clearing.
🔮 The Sieve Ritual: A Practice for Emotional Clearing
Unless you’re driving (you know the drill), try this with me:
Close your eyes and imagine your body as a golden sieve.
Visualize old energy, inherited pain, unspoken wounds passing through the holes.
Repeat aloud or softly:
“I release the energy that is not mine.”
“I release the emotions that no longer serve me.”
“I make space for what is real, true, and mine to hold.”
Breathe.
Let your body be a vessel—not a vault.
This isn’t just healing.
It’s sacred housekeeping.
🧠 Story Time: When My Body Took the Lead
Years ago, I was doing all the things: coaching, energy work, journaling. But beneath the surface, I was emotionally performing. Smiling through resentment. Spiritually bypassing grief.
Then my body stopped playing along.
I dropped weight. Couldn’t eat. Pain became constant. Doctors couldn’t find anything—until a pelvic floor specialist told me the truth:
“Your body is in trauma. Your pelvic floor is in full spasm. It’s not a medical issue. It’s unprocessed pain.”
And in that moment, I stopped trying to fix.
I started to feel.
I sobbed for the first time in decades. And my healing began—not because I learned something new, but because I finally released what had been waiting to leave.
